Lowering the drinking age to 18 would reduce the number of young adults getting in trouble for underage drinking. When kids drink alcohol illegaly, it takes place where there is no supervision. This can lead to violence, alcohol overdose, and most likely other illegal activities. However, if the legal drinking age was 18, thses things would not happen. Kids would drink in places where it is acceptable for those 18 and older, where there would be supervision, such a bouncer or older adults. It simply just makes sense if you follow the consititution, stasting that when you turn 18 you adopt the resposibilities of an adult. The government trusts 18 year olds with their votes and loyalty to fight for their country, but the government does not trust those to drink. Drinking alcohol should definitly be one of the privliges and responsibilites of turning 18 here in the United States of America.
